Writng a memoir is like putting your heart on a silver platter and putting it out there for people to carve up. "The Magic of Ordinary," my memoir about the power of a loving father to affect the world around him, was published by small-press Amber House Books in January of 2021. Just went into a second edition. (Obviously, my favorite!) But also love Amy Krouse Rosenthal's "Encyclopedia of an Ordinary Life," and "Ava's Man," (memoir / biography of his grandfather) by Rick Bragg.
Also, I'm excited that "Why Every Writer Needs to Care..." made your list. For writers out there who have had an editor request more work on an article, (as Justin did on this one) know that a good editor makes a good writer shine, and the ultimate product will be much improved!
