I totally agree. I started on Medium with dreams of making some money doing what I love. A year later, with more than a hundred curations and distributions, I still don't make $100. But I keep at it because I love writing and don't believe anything good happens overnight. It's hard work with a cumulative value. No matter what I make, I've honed my skills. I've developed a massive body of work of which I am proud. I've made friends. Those things are valuable, too.
