I love Medium and want to see it continue to grow. I like the idea of promoting content and pubs that are not about writing. Because we're a community of writers, it feels like the focus of Medium is on writing for money and audience instead of sharing interesting information. I hope to see subject matter areas promoted and expanded....science, history, tech, literature, and I'd LOVE to see a Medium publication about creativity and Home and/or Garden. I'm a professional writer, and yes, I've written about how to write well (for The Writing Cooperative) and how to do effective marketing (for Better Marketing,) but I don't want everything on Medium to be writing/success based.

I've read that publications may continue to disappear in the interest of individual writers, but I, for one, love the established audience a publication brings, and it's nice to corral topics in an acknowledged, quality pub.

Someday, I want to actually make an income here, but good writing with solid content in different subject areas is the most important aspect of Medium for me.
