Hi, Paul!
I'm a book lover, and nothing gives me more joy than opening a print book, smelling the pages, filling it with marginalia as I read, and then shelving it alphabetically by title on my office bookshelves where I can look at them every day.
I do, however, appreciate the convenience of ebooks (and the lowered costs) when I travel.
Interestingly, I added a Bible to my Kindle paperwhite, and I do like having such portability and easy access to all the maps and commentary on characters, but my printed Bible with all my notes and highlighter and tapestry carrying case is still special to me.
Recently, the library at the community college in my town started getting rid of their older books due to storage space and "outdated" material. I don't know if that's a widespread practice in libraries, but it does make me worry that we're losing important parts of our history!
