Amen, Kris! I have written over and over again about how reading is necessary to be a great writer. It fuels ideas. It teaches "style by osmosis," it expands your horizons. It teaches empathy and culture and history. Go, girl! (I'll echo someone else in saying that I triple my reading time by incorporating audiobooks into my life..."How to Easily Triple Your Reading Time," was my title, that way I can get more "reading" while I'm driving, cooking, cleaning, standing in line. Also, I recently wrote about how my creativity plummeted when I got so involved in my work that I stopped browsing the daily papers every morning. That 20 minutes of time while I'm drinking my coffee, browsing the NYTs, National Geo, and Smithsonian, give me an amazing boost.
It's GREAT to read what you write! Congrats on being a "force" in so many people's lives.
